Job Title

The duties of this position include:

• Serving as a point of contact for congressional matters within IO and with the Bureau of Legislative Affairs and for developing and scheduling briefings on key policy issues for congressional committee staff.

• Managing and developing responses to congressional correspondence, questions for the record, and reports to Congress.

• Developing working relationships with Capitol Hill contacts to advance IO’s legislative agenda and key policy objectives.

• Staying attuned to changing international issues, events, and policies by monitoring traditional and social media coverage, and advising on how those changes might require engagement with Hill audiences.

• At the lower grade levels, the employee performs less complex duties and receives progressively greater responsibility as proficiency and experience are demonstrated.
