About the Role

As a Textile Designer , you will develop trend-driven, commercially relevant home textile products across our soft home categories, with a strong emphasis on technical CAD development, product merchandising, materials, construction, and textile techniques.

This is a hands-on, product-focused design role that goes beyond print and pattern creation. You will translate seasonal trends and retailer needs into fully developed product concepts, considering color, fabric, texture, construction, embellishment, functionality, and target price points.

What You'll Do

• Research and translate seasonal trends in color, materials, texture, construction, pattern, and textile techniques into commercially relevant home textile products.
• Create detailed technical CADs, product renderings, mockups, colorways, material mappings, and construction details to communicate design concepts and specifications.
• Design and develop textile products, considering fabric selection, construction, scale, texture, trims, embellishments, surface treatments, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Merchandise cohesive product collections and assortments tailored to seasonal trends, retailer needs, consumer preferences, and target price points.
• Develop retailer-specific product concepts, CADs, and presentations that balance creative direction, commercial appeal, and production capabilities.
• Explore textile techniques including weaving, embroidery, quilting, tufting, appliqué, jacquard, printing, and other decorative constructions.
• Prepare production-ready CADs, artwork, and technical specifications for factories and vendors.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising, Sales, and Sourcing on materials, construction, costing considerations, and product execution.
• Review swatches, lab dips, strike-offs, and samples for accuracy in color, materials, construction, texture, and overall quality.
• Communicate technical and aesthetic feedback to international vendors, ensuring design integrity from concept through final production.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in textile or product design within home textiles, soft home, home décor, or related categories.
• Strong technical CAD skills and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, including product renderings, material mapping, colorways, and production-ready artwork.
• Experience designing and developing physical textile products, beyond solely prints, graphics, or surface patterns.
• Strong knowledge of textile materials, fabric construction, embellishments, and manufacturing techniques, including weaving, embroidery, quilting, tufting, jacquard, and printing.
• Experience merchandising product collections and assortments with an understanding of retailer needs, commercial trends, product differentiation, and target price points.
• Ability to translate creative concepts into technically detailed, commercially viable products and specifications.
• Experience reviewing samples, materials, and constructions and providing actionable feedback to factories and vendors.
• Strong eye for color, texture, proportion, construction, and emerging home décor trends.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Surface Design, or a related field preferred.
• Portfolio required; portfolios should include examples of textile product development and finished product concepts, not solely print or surface pattern work.
